August 31 is a very important day for Montessorians across the world. To honor the life and work of Dr Maria Montessori,
we had organized a fancy dress competition at our school this year, to help kids open up & be participative so that they know their hidden talents as well as increase their self-confidence. They had fun wearing their favorite costumes.
 
All kids were also given an opportunity to speak few lines about themselves in order to overcome stage fright and perform their maiden public speaking effort in front of sizeable number of parents and guests. A notable result witnessed at the end of the function was that majority of children were able to speak their minds.
 
They truly enjoyed the function and were given a surprise gift in appreciation of their effort.
